Well... We rented a car and DROVE to Texas from Pueblo, CO.
I know, we did not cycle the whole tour, but it was getting to HOT and DRY!

Vesper and I are now in Dallas, Texas with his kids and getting ready to move into a new Apartment in the neighborhood. We will have this sublet until May and we will see where we will go from there?

Looking for a computer to continue our jobs of resale from picking.
Yoshi is well and happy to be near Ayla and Sheldon again.

Looking for the next chapter in our lives to begin again!

Good luck to all that are out there on the road shifting gears across the USA!!!

God Bless!

We are in Canon City, CO.
45 miles or so from Pueblo, CO where we will begin the 7th Map of the TransAM map series of the ACA Guides.

With not having the last one (6th) to get us this far, we have made it on our own.
We were planning on visiting with Sheldon while he was here in CO with the Boy Scouts!
Unfortunately, we never got to see him:(

We were in Salida, CO for four days trying to get in touch with him, but without any reception it just was not possible. We will see him in a few weeks when we make it into TEXAS!!!

We saw two double rainbows on different days in different locations.
Here is one of them!

We have made it to Lender, WY.
I have been having seizures every day in this heat. NOT GOOD!

Fourth of July in Lender, WY was AWESOME!!!!
Best Firework show ever. 360 degrees of colorful explosions.

We are now in COLORADO.
Hot Sulfur Springs, CO where my Nomad Trailer broke an axel!
Burley got right on it and sent replacement parts overnight.

Thank you BURLEY!!

My Birthday is on Saturday the 18th and I spent it in Silverthorne, CO!

I am turning 35 years old.
Damn I am OLD!!!

In Jackson Hole WY today!

Made it through Yellowstone National Park as well as Teton National Park.
THE TRAFFIC IS CRAZY!!! Cyclists beware! Speeders and crazy Foreign drivers.

Had a Seizure as we just entered into Yellowstone from West Yellowstone, MT.
Vesper tackled me off the bike so I wouldn't go into GM and run into the road of packed speeding cars both ways. After a little spill and about 20 Min. to gather our senses again, we got back on our bikes to continue to Madison Junction Campground.

After resting a night, we were told that the next campgrounds were open at Grant Village which was about 30mi. away and over two huge passes. IT WAS NOT OPEN!
we had to travel further over yet another huge pass to make it to the next place to camp at Lewis Lake. By the time we got there the campsite was full!
It had only one Hiker/biker campsite reserved and it was taken.
Thankfully a kind Canadian from Quebec and his son were not going to be using the tent site and gave it to us.
Thank you Marc and Cedric for your kindness!! We still have the Maple Syrup and cannot wait to eat it!

Once we left Yellowstone we cycled to Colter Bay Village where we stayed for two nights.
Here is a view of the Tetons.
Our next stop was at the Signal Mountain Campgrounds where we were able to watch the final game of the NBA Finals between Golden State and Cleavland! GO WARRIORS!
After two nights camping there we have now made it to Jackson, WY where we may hopefully find a WARM SHOWER connection.
Wish us luck! We will otherwise have to pedal to Teton Village to find a campsite.

We left Missoula after staying with the Anderson Family for over a month.
Thank you Bruce and crew for your hospitality and we had a great time there, but we have to get to Texas where we are needed most.

While we were in Missoula at the Daly House we were able to build a bike rack, wash all the windows, clean the gutters, rake and mow the yard twice, clean multiple dishes as well as the entire house. We were there for a month, but we did our share of work for the good of the house.

We were also able to be there for Bruce's 'Daly Jazz Concert' where fantastic Jazz musicians came to play for two nights!
We helped cook as well as clean up for this event all while enjoying the JAZZ!
Vesper and I smoked 6 large pork roasts for a total of 10-14 hours. Made fantastic pulled pork!
Bruce still owes us the BBQ sauce recipe....

We cycled from Missoula towards Hamilton where we then stayed with another warmshower connection for a couple of days. Thank you Peggy and Warren!!
Photos are of us at the Bitteroot Brewery in Hamilton, MT.

From Hamilton we cycled up to Sula (Pop.50) and stayed at the Country Store and Resort for one night. (see photo below)

We then cycled in the RAIN over Lost Trail Pass (Elev. 7,014) and Chief Joseph Pass (Elev. 7,214) on into Wisdom (Pop. 119) and stayed the night at an RV park.

Next on the map came Jackson (Pop. 38) where we had pancakes at Rose's. The weather was horrible for the next 61 Miles to Dillon. We had to climb two passes in the rain and sleet which were Big Hole Pass (Elev. 7,400) and Badger Pass (Elev. 6,760). By the time we made it to Dillon, we were exhausted, drenched and dirty with all the passing Bull Haulers on 278 the Trans American Route of the ACA.

Now here in Dillon we took a little break for a couple of days until our Bicycle pump that we bought at REI broke. We are now waiting for them to send us a replacement, then our North Face tent zippered door stopped working and came off the tracks. So The North Face is sending us a replacement tent as well.
THANK YOU REI and THE NORTH FACE!
We are so glad to be customers of your businesses!

Staying at the Countryside RV Park here on the south side of Dillon the best RV Park in all of MONTANA! The bathrooms are great and separate from the showers.
Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains in all directions.

Thanks Josh and Valerie for being so kind to us Touring cyclists!
Pet friendly as well~! Yoshi likes it here!
 Please see photos!

We are in Missoula, Montana!!
Went over the Lolo Pass a couple of days ago and are spending some time here in Missoula to restock on supplies before we head off south towards Texas.

Staying with a warmshowers connection that we found here and are doing well.
The weather is beautiful here and everyone rides bikes!
It is like a mini Portland, Oregon.

Here are some photos...

Tomorrow we are planning on visiting the ACA headquarters where we will get our loads measured, ice cream, and a Polaroid photo of us with our gear.
We will post the weight as soon as we can.

Asotin with the Benner Family

Tuesday, 4/14/15

Daily's Bakery was the place to be in Asotin, WA
Great Americanos and the French dip is the Bomb!

We were looking for a place to handle business and chill while the weather was acting up, this was the place.
Great service and the owners where down to earth and hospitable.
Teresa saw the two of us with our bikes on tour and immediately offered to take us in.
Amazing lodge and great family.
Made us feel right at home as if we were one of the clan.

Thanks Benner Family!
